The Wesley Breast Clinic is a multi-disciplinary facility set up to promote the early diagnosis of breast cancer and to provide a service for the whole spectrum of breast disorders. It aims to provide information, care and support for all women who have concerns about their breasts.

The Wesley Breast Clinic has a large team of highly experienced professionals with an enormous depth of experience, some of whom have been with the Clinic for over 20 years. 

 

Same day service

One of the reasons for the Clinic’s popularity is that we endeavour to perform all investigations and provide patients with their results on the same day.  Biopsy results are usually available within 24 hours.

 

 

Breast Clinic Services

The Wesley Breast Clinic's comprehensive range of services include:

Screening Clinic - for asymptomatic women

Diagnostic Clinic - for symptomatic women

Family History Clinic - for those women who are gene carriers for breast cancer or who have a very strong family history

Pre-operative Localisation Service - for surgeons who operate at The Wesley Hospital and elsewhere in Brisbane

Breast Care Nurses

The Clinic also fosters close collaboration with GP's and Breast Surgeons ensuring best outcomes for patients.

 

Breast MRI

One of the first private facilities in Brisbane to offer a dedicated computer aided diagnostic service for Breast Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).

 

Rebateable MRI Scans are available for patients with PIP implants.

 

Close links with the Kim Walters Choices Program

The Kim Walters Choices Program at The Wesley Hospital supplies information and support to all women diagnosed with Breast Cancer.
