Dr Neil Wetzig

Dr Wetzig is a General Surgeon who has been consulting at The Wesley Hospital since 1990. He has a particular interest in breast and endocrine surgery and, when appropriate, performs laparoscopic and minimally invasive parathyroid surgery.

Dr Wetzig has a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and of the Royal College of Surgeons England. He is a former Chairman of the breast surgery and endocrine surgery sections for the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. He is also the Principal Investigator of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons' Sentinel Node Biopsy Trial in breast cancer management. Dr Wetzig is also a Member of the Australian Medical Association and the Clinical Oncological Society of Australia.
