Dr Andrew Scott

Dr Scott is a Thoracic Physician who specialises in thoracic and sleep medicine and pulmonary hypertension and rehabilitation. His areas of interest include sleep disordered breathing, lung cancer, asthma, pulmonary fibrosis, pulmonary hypertension, pulmonary rehabilitation as well as transplant medicine. Prior to his commencement of private practice at the Wesley in 2003 Dr Scott was a lung and transplant physician in Cambridge (UK).

Dr Scott graduated from Otago University’s medical degree in 1991. He is a Fellow of Royal Australian Collage of Physicians, and a member of the Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand, The Thoracic Society of Queensland, the European Respiratory Society as well as the International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation. Dr Scott is also a senior lecturer of Medicine at the University of Queensland.

Dr Maurice Heiner

Dr Maurice Heiner is a Thoracic Physician that specialises in sleep and respiratory medicine. He has special interests in lung cancer, asthma, asbestosis related diseases and sleep medicine. Dr Heiner is a director of the Queensland Respiratory Laboratory and also has an interest in intensive care medicine.

Dr Heiner has been in private practice in Australia for 25 years and prior to that practiced in Canada. He has five fellowships and is a member of the Royal Australian College of Physicians as well as the College of Chest Physicians in America. Dr Heiner received his medical degree from the University of Queensland and undertook postgraduate training in pulmonary, sleep and intensive care medicine at the University of Toronto and the University of Alberta in addition to training periods in US hospitals. Dr Heiner also has many professional memberships in Australia, Canada and the US in the areas of ICU, internal medicine, respiratory medicine, and sleep medicine.
