Dr Gino Pecoraro

Dr Gino Pecoraro is an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist who has been practicing at the Wesley since 1997. He has a special interest in high risk obstetrics, especially thrombophilia and autoimmune disease. He also has an interest in laparoscopic and vaginal surgery, endometriosis and menopause.

Dr Pecoraro completed his medical degree at the University of Queensland in 1988. He completed his fellowship in obstetrics and gynaecology in 1996.

Dr Pecoraro is a senior Visiting Medical Specialist at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital. He is a past president of the Australian Medical Association, National Association of Specialist Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, the Australian Gynaecological and Endoscopy Society, and the Australian and International Menopause Societies. He is also past secretary of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (RANZCOG) and current member of the Board for this organisation. Dr Pecoraro maintains a keen interest in medical journalism and is a regular presenter on Channel 10 News, Brisbane.
