Dr Thompson is a Urologist with experience across all aspects of urological surgery and a particular interest in urological cancer surgery who commenced at the Wesley in 1986. Because of Dr Thompson’s experience and skills in major surgical operations, he receives a large number of tertiary referrals from other urologists and oncologists with difficult surgical cases and problems as a result of previous cancer surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy. He deals with kidney, bladder, testicular and prostate cancer.

Dr Thompson holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) (Hons), and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) (Urol). Dr Thompson is also a Member of the Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand, Societie International de Urologie, and the Australian Medical Association.
