Dr Woodrow is an Emergency Physician based at the Wesley Emergency Centre.

 

Dr Woodrow graduated from medical school at the University of Queensland in 1990 and after an internship at Redcliffe Hospital he spent two years at Kingaroy Base Hospital, the second of these as medical superintendent. After one year of general surgical training at Mater Public Hospital, he moved to the Mater Private Emergency Care Centre in 1994. He commenced work at the Wesley Emergency Centre in 2001.

 

Dr Woodrow has completed courses in diving and hyperbaric medicine, sports medicine, toxinology, Early Management of Severe Burns, Basic Assessment and Support in Intensive Care, Major Incident Medical Management and Support, and is an active instructor in Early Management of Severe Trauma and Advanced Paediatric Life Support. He has completed a Graduate Diploma of Applied Law through University of Queensland, and subsequently completed a Masters of Business Administration in 2009, achieving an academic excellence award. He is currently studying a Graduate Certificate in Arts majoring in ethics.

 

Dr Woodrow is a faculty presenter for the Cognitive Institute, facilitating workshops on risk management and communication skills. He is a council member of the Medico-Legal Society of Queensland, and also a member of the Australasian Association for Bioethics and Health Law.
