Cleanaway 10 pallets of dispensers rehomed to Lifeline

Partnering with Cleanaway, The Wesley’s sustainability team found an innovative way to re-purpose ten pallets of hand towel dispensers, in a concerted effort to direct them away from landfill.

With a passion for sustainability and recycling, Hospitality Services Manager Luke Hoskin reached out to Cleanaway to develop a solution. In engaging with UnitingCare, the team found that Lifeline Queensland were increasing their hand hygiene stations, and were able to rehome 3070 kilograms of plastic.

Working with Cleanaway The Wesley has been able to re-purpose: 300 kilograms of medical supplies through Animal Welfare League; 851.65 kilograms of curtains, and 3070 kilograms of towel dispensers - resulting in a total of 4221.65 kilograms being re-purposed in total.

Cleanaway Account Manager Leigh said the success of the program is testament to The Wesley's passion for sustainability.

"The Wesley have a close partnership and understanding of Cleanaway's capabilities; in addition to a strong understanding of  the products they procure, the lifecycle of a product and ultimately, the waste they generate."
