What we do
The Wesley Hospital sits at the heart of Brisbane. Here, more than 800 Visiting Medical Practitioners and 2,000 staff come together to provide care for our community.
We offer comprehensive care across a wide range of acute tertiary-level medical and surgical services with a particular focus on cancer care, cardiac care, women’s and children’s care, and complex surgical care. This includes the busiest robotic surgery program and the first Robotic Surgery Centre of Excellence accredited in Australia.
Through research and education we’re constantly searching for the latest in treatment techniques and processes. And by constantly investing in new technologies, we’re able to improve outcomes for patients.

- 19 beds in ICU.
- 19 operating theatres.
- Three cardiac catheter labs.

Our tertiary-level medical and surgical services are supported by an intensive care unit, coronary care unit, cardiac catheter theatres, 24-hour emergency centre, renal dialysis, radiology, radiation therapy, pathology, pharmacy services, IVF, haematology and oncology services.
