Dr Adam Stirling is a confident, personable doctor who cares for his patients with compassion, kindness and understanding. He is an experienced Brisbane-based medical oncologist with a sub-speciality interest in lung cancer, colorectal cancer, breast cancer, and genitourinary cancer. Further, he is actively involved in teaching and cancer research, including a strong focus on early phase clinical trials.

Dr Stirling graduated with an MBBS (Hons) from The University of Queensland in 2003. He completed his general internal medicine training in 2007, followed by the completion of his specialist medical oncology training at The Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, the Princess Alexandra Hospital and Mater Hospitals (2008 – 2010) in Queensland, Australia. He commenced private practice with Icon in 2011.

With a strong career background in cutting edge research, Dr Stirling continues to pursue advances in cancer treatment through clinical trials into novel anti-cancer therapeutics and treatment strategies. He has published articles and lectured extensively in the areas of respiratory malignancies.

Dr Stirling consults and treats patients at Icon Cancer Centre Chermside, Wesley and North Lakes. In addition, he is a senior lecturer at The University of Queensland – Faculty of Medicine, and sits as an independent advisor on a number of advisory boards as well as steering groups for research into various malignancies. He maintains a research association with Icon Cancer Foundation.
