Dr Nikolic is a general, colorectal and trauma surgeon based in Brisbane. She takes a caring, patient-centred approach with her patients — explaining what's going on, talking through the options in plain language, and working with each patient to find the treatment that's right for them.

She treats the full range of colorectal conditions, including bowel cancer, diverticular disease, inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn's and ulcerative colitis), haemorrhoids, anal fistula, and pelvic floor and continence disorders. She has particular expertise in robotic and minimally invasive colorectal cancer surgery. She also has a broad general surgery practice, including hernia repair and emergency general surgery, and provides trauma surgery care as part of her work at Royal Brisbane & Women's Hospital and STARS.

Dr Nikolic has spent more than a decade training at some of Australia's leading teaching hospitals. She completed her general surgery training at St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne, followed by two years of advanced colorectal fellowship training as an accredited CSSANZ fellow at Fiona Stanley Hospital in Perth and Christchurch Hospital in New Zealand. She went on to complete a Robotic and Advanced Colorectal Cancer Fellowship at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust in the United Kingdom.

Dr Nikolic completed her medical degree at Monash University and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and a member of the Colorectal Surgical Society of Australia and New Zealand (CSSANZ). She was awarded the John Corboy Medal in 2022, and holds a Master of Surgery from the University of Sydney, a Graduate Diploma of Surgical Anatomy from the University of Melbourne, and Membership of the International Postgraduate Deanery of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

She is also a Captain in the Australian Army Reserve and welcomes serving and ex-serving members of the ADF and DVA patients.

Dr Nikolic operates privately at The Wesley Hospital, and holds public appointments at the Royal Brisbane & Women's Hospital and STARS Hospital.
