Dr Anthony Silva is a specialist hip and knee Orthopaedic Surgeon. He is dual fellowship-trained in Australia and Canada, with his subspecialist training centred on Direct Anterior Approach (DAA) Robotic Total Hip Replacement, Personalised Alignment Robotic Total Knee and Partial Knee Replacements, and Complex Primary and Revision Hip and Knee Replacement.
Alongside his private practice, Dr Silva holds a public appointment as the Director of Orthopaedic Surgery at The Prince Charles Hospital.
Dr Silva’s focus as a surgeon is on restoring mobility, alleviating pain, and empowering his patients to reclaim their independence. He is dedicated to providing personalised care and achieving the best possible outcomes for his patients.
Dr Silva completed his medical degree at The University of Queensland in 2012 and undertook his junior doctor training across Queensland and South Australia. He finished his orthopaedic training in Queensland and has worked in Brisbane as a subspecialist Orthopaedic Surgeon since 2023.
Dr Silva is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and the Australian Orthopaedic Association. He holds professional memberships with the following medical societies and organisations:

Dr. Silva is actively involved in orthopaedic research and enjoys teaching and supervising medical students and junior doctors through his academic appointment at The University of Queensland.
