Dr Elizabeth Vujcich is a highly skilled General Surgeon specialising in burns and general surgical care. She has served as a consultant surgeon since 2017 and is an integral member of the Statewide Adult Burns Service at the Royal Brisbane Hospital, where she has also contributed to the Acute Surgical and Trauma Service.
In addition to her work at Royal Brisbane Hospital, Dr Vujcich holds a public appointment at The Surgical Treatment and Rehabilitation Service (STARS) in Herston, Queensland, where she specialises in scar revision, skin cancer treatment, and elective general surgical procedures.
Dr Vujcich began her academic journey with a Bachelor of Science at Monash University in Melbourne before earning her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at Griffith University. She completed her residency at Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane and undertook General Surgical training across various hospitals in Queensland.
She was awarded a Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in General Surgery and completed a Burns and Acute General Surgery fellowship at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.
Dr Vujcich treats a broad range of general surgical conditions, both emergently and electively. Her expertise includes, but not limited to, appendicitis, small bowel pathology, gallbladder pathology, herniae, skin lesions (benign, acute, keloid and scar management), acute and chronic wound management, burns and scar management, perianal pathology and trauma.
