Dr James McLaren

Dr James McLaren is a highly regarded Consultant Gynaecologist and Clinical Lead for Gynaecology and Colposcopy Services. He is known for his expertise in advanced minimally invasive surgery and his commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.

Dr McLaren has a particular interest in fertility, endometriosis, heavy menstrual bleeding, and uterine fibroids. He is skilled in a range of advanced surgical techniques and is among a select group of surgeons in Queensland performing vNOTES hysterectomy, an innovative minimally invasive approach that can offer faster recovery and reduced postoperative discomfort.

He completed his specialist training at King’s College London and brings a strong evidence-based approach to his practice. Dr McLaren is dedicated to supporting women through all stages of their gynaecological care, combining technical excellence with a compassionate and collaborative approach.
