Dr Mitch Bourne

Dr Mitch Bourne is a consultant geriatrician providing comprehensive in- and outpatient services at The Wesley Hospital and Wesley Medical Centre. He is committed to delivering compassionate, patient-centred care. A Brisbane native, he completed his medical training at the University of Queensland and gained extensive experience across a variety of Queensland Health sites from Brisbane to far north Queensland.

With a special interest in diagnosis and management of dementia, particularly in addressing complex behaviors, his specialised training in severe behavioral symptoms enables him to support a wide range of patients and their families, with a focus on dignity and quality of life.

Dr Bourne welcomes referrals and is dedicated to working collaboratively with GPs and other healthcare professionals for all issues related to the care and wellbeing of older adults.
