Have you or your organisation considered corporate volunteering? If so, The Wesley Hospital is offering An Introduction to Corporate Volunteering. This part-day program provides an opportunity to partner with existing volunteers to experience firsthand the role of a hospital volunteer.
The Wesley Hospital’s compassionate volunteers provide social connection and support to patients in our Vulnerable In-Patient Service and End of Life Compassionate Companions program.
See what some of our volunteers have to say about their experience.
“It's a privilege to help others and while doing so we enjoy the camaraderie of the volunteers and the many laughs we have.”
“The best part of volunteering for me is the incredible conversations had with patients whilst driving them to and from the hospital for treatment.”
“As a ‘vollie’ I receive so much more than I give. Being a part of a community with an important role in serving others adds another rich dimension to my life, for which I am very grateful.”
