Dr Ryan Sommerville is an Ear, Nose and Throat, Head and Neck Cancer and Skull Base Surgeon operating at The Wesley Hospital in Brisbane.
He gained his fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2008, and then completed post-fellowship training in Skull Base Surgery under Prof Giovanni Danesi in Bergamo, Italy.
Dr Sommerville also operates at the RBWH, and is a member of the RBWH Head and Neck Cancer MDT and the Qld Skull Base Unit. Much of his public work is in Skull Base Oncological Surgery, utilising open anterior and lateral approaches, and also extended endoscopic anterior skull base approaches for the management of both benign and malignant disease.
Dr Sommerville has intermediate and private lists around Brisbane. He consults privately from Wickham Tce, Nth Lakes, Burpengary, Ascot and Wellers Hill and is interested in paediatric and adult ENT, otology, FESS, and snoring surgery.
His other interests include cycling, running, and maintaining the work-life balance with the help of his wife and two daughters.
