Dr Daniel Schweitzer is a General Neurologist. In addition to general neurology, his special interests are Cognitive Neurology, Clinical Electrophysiology and Neurophysiology, inpatient consultations and the clinical intersections of Neurology and Psychiatry. He performs and interprets nerve conduction studies, EMG and EEG.
He undertook his Neurology training in Queensland and New South Wales and completed a PhD in Medicine and Philosophy at the University of Queensland. He has forged collaborations with Psychiatry and in particular, developed the Neuropsychiatry Certificate at the Mater Hospital.
He has multiple publications in peer reviewed journals and has ongoing interests in research in the area of cognition across neurological conditions.
He has a public appointment as Senior Staff Specialist at the Mater Hospital and has honorary appointments as Senior Lecturer at The University of Queensland. and Associate Professor at QUT
