Dr Jennifer Green is an Orthopaedic Surgeon with special interest in hand and wrist trauma, wrist reconstruction and Dupuytren’s Contracture.
Dr Green has been a Visiting Medical Practitioner at The Wesley Hospital since 2009.
Dr Green was educated in New South Wales and received her medical degree from the University of Newcastle in 1989. She completed her residency and advanced surgical training in Sydney and was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 1997.
Dr Green then travelled overseas and undertook 18 months of fellowship training in hand surgery at the Indiana Hand Centre, USA and Institut de la Main, Paris, France. Prior to relocating to Brisbane, Dr Green practised as a hand and microsurgeon in Sydney as a consultant at the Sydney Hand Unit, the largest specialty hand surgery unit in Australia.
As a result of Dr Green’s research interest in Dupuytren’s disease, she has presented at national and international meetings in addition to publishing research articles and book chapters on this topic.
