Dr Kevin O’Regan

Dr Kevin O’Regan is a gastroenterologist with the Wesley Gastroenterology and Liver Group.

Dr O’Regan completed an 18 month fellowship in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) at the University of Alberta Hospital, Canada.  He continued to work as a locum gastroenterologist with a focus on the management of patients with ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease. He was also an active member of the University of Alberta IBD clinical trials unit, treating patients in several large multicentre therapeutic trials.

After completing a Bachelor of Science, he gained his medical degree at the University of Queensland in 2002. Dr O’Regan then completed resident training in Queensland and worked in the Republic of Ireland. He returned to Australia to pursue specialist training in gastroenterology and hepatology and was admitted as a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2014.

Dr O’Regan also has special interests in general gastroenterology, gastroscopy & colonoscopy, coeliac disease and liver diseases.  He has presented at local and international meetings and has been actively involved in IBD-related research including in the area of biologic therapeutic agents.

He consults at the Evan Thomson Building with regular endoscopy sessions at the Wesley Hospital Endoscopy Unit.
