Every day, Queenslanders like Steph arrive at The Wesley, scared and unsure after hearing the words: “You have cancer”.
Your tax-deductible donation today will help fund world-class treatment, expert care, and vital recovery services — giving more patients the best possible chance to getting back home to the people they love.
Steph was just 34 when she was diagnosed with osteosarcoma—a rare and aggressive bone cancer.
She thought it was just a gym injury. But an MRI revealed something far worse.
“When I found out it was cancer, the first thing I said was, ‘I don’t want to die.’”
Steph needed months of intensive chemotherapy and major surgery on her hip and pelvis. She was regularly admitted to The Wesley Hospital for two weeks at a time so her chemo could be closely monitored.
That meant time away from Ben, the love of her life, and their two young daughters, Izzy and Mia.
“Being away from my girls has always been the most difficult part.”
Please donate now to help fund world-class cancer treatment and compassionate care for more people like Steph.
