Oxygen therapy at Wesley Hyperbaric
Hyperbaric medicine uses oxygen therapy to treat people with decompression illness, infections, wounds that won’t heal, and radiation injuries. Wesley Hyperbaric is Australia’s first and largest, private and fully comprehensive Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) facility.
During treatment, patients breathe pure oxygen while sitting in a large pressure-filled chamber, resulting in very high concentrations of oxygen in the tissues (up to 15 times the amount when breathing normally). This reduces swelling, fights infection, and builds new blood vessels, promoting rapid healing.
