Dr Danaë Papachristos is a consultant rheumatologist practising at the Wesley Hospital.
After graduating from the University of Melbourne in 2012, Dr Papachristos completed basic physician training at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Melbourne. She then undertook her advanced specialty training in rheumatology at both St. Vincent’s Hospital and the Royal Melbourne Hospital, where she gained extensive experience in scleroderma, systemic lupus erythematosus, rheumatoid arthritis, spondyloarthritis and biologic therapies.
Recently, Dr Papachristos has completed a clinical and research fellowship in Systemic Lupus Erythematosus at the renowned University of Toronto Lupus Clinic in Canada.
She returned to Australia and moved to Brisbane in 2020, and she now consults in the Sandford Jackson Building at the Wesley Hospital.
Dr Papachristos has a special interest in systemic connective tissue diseases, vasculitis and rheumatoid arthritis. She is a member of the Australian Rheumatology Association.
